Harvest Moon in Aries

September 30th we see the full moon in Aries…. Remember that the moon reflects how we feel emotionally. It will determine how we internalize and react emotionally to situations, people, and relationships.

When we look at the full moon globally it helps us to understand the energy we are working with. That being said Aries can be fun; it is dynamic, bold, enthusiastic and pioneering. However it is also impulsive, reckless, domineering and dictatorial.

So remember that when working with this energy it is important to be focused but also be clear about what our expectations are. This can be highly volatile time and communication can be misconstrued….   We do not call the warrior God Aries for nothing.

Additionally this month’s moon is called the Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon is a time of reaping what we sowed. In the spring we had planted, in the summer we had carefully nurtured that which we had planted and now it is time to reap the benefits of our work…. This is a time of abundance and prosperity for that which we have cultivated but also for that which we focus and bring forth into the future.

Now if we marry the two, the enthusiastic pioneering driven Aries with the prosperity aspect of the Harvest Moon with focused intent we can create….. Shall I say, abundantly.

Happy Harvest Moon

Prosperity Prayer

From the point of connection with the Divine inside and all around me, I surrender my financial affairs and concerns about money into Divine care and love.

I release my worries, anxieties, and fears about money, and replace them with faith. I know and trust that my debt will be settled and prosperity will flow into my life.

I have only to look at nature to see proof of the abundance of life as I manage my finances wisely, willingly accepting help.

Finally, I seek what is mine to do in life and act on that purpose with courage and strength. I dedicate the use of my skills and knowledge in service of the world

For all that I know and all that I have, I am grateful

Amen, Aho, and So It Is

You Have No Control Over Me

Do you know where your fear comes from? Is it a childhood memory or are you carrying someone else pain? Can you find the place where it started and turn it into your greatest strength… All too often our fear is based on a past experience and has nothing to do with our present circumstances but finding where it began can be a challenge. We have a tendency to avoid pain, though we are experiencing it every day.

Sometimes the fear we experience doesn’t belong to us at all…. It can be a buried memory of something our parents, family, or even our cultural ancestors experienced. Yet we carry it all the same.

Here is a simple meditation that can help your break through your fears…. You’ll have to be brave. We hate setting with our fears…. It makes us uncomfortable but if you can push through it and just let it be. Don’t judge it; don’t interact with it at all. Just sit with it gently and know it has no control over you…. You can do this, I know you can.

Now….

Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Set comfortably and close your eyes.  Breathe… Take a deep breath as you settle yourself in…. Breathe slowly and deeply, feeling yourself relax with each breath.  Breathe and go deeper… breathe and go deeper still… Know that you are safe and protected in this sacred space. Breathe

Now think of your greatest fear…. Is it failure or loss, or death, or poverty, or…. You fill in the blank. Now call it to your mind and just let it be…. Sit with it, know that it is there but also know that it cannot hurt you, that it is just a thought, nothing more than a thought and just sit with it.

At first it will feel uncomfortable; you’ll feel yourself starting to squirm in your seat…. You’ll want to open your eyes but don’t… just push through it and feel yourself begin to relax into it, knowing that it can’t hurt you it is no more than a thought.  Stay there for a few moments and say…. You have no control over me, you have no control over me, you have no control over me…. And release

Now slowly open your eyes…. Take a deep cleansing breath and say…. You have no control over me!

I want you to feel really proud of yourself. You have taken the first step to controlling your own life.
Practice this once a day and whenever you begin to feel anxious or fearful. And remember your power words… You have no control over me!

The Wise Women Circle

I have always envisioned a place where all beliefs could come together and share ideas. A place where one could think and grow, a place of learning and of sharing. Heart to heart. Wise women teaching. The awakening of the crone and embracing the power within. From a seed a tree will grow, then a grove and yet forest as far as the eye can see.

Welcome to the circle of the wise women. You have awakened the crone within….  Your creative center is in your vaginal cortex (Cave) it is here that we take a man to love; it is here that we carry life; it is here that we bring life forth. It is sacred and must be honored as such. This is why rape is such a violation. It is our seat of power, our seat of creation. It is here that we give and also receive. It is the well of life.

The Crone knows that it is time to use our voice, to stand for humanity, to fight for the rightness of  things, to support those you go before and to help those who are coming up.

Welcome to the wise women circle…. Welcome Isis, Persephone, Demeter, Hecate, Aphrodite, and Hara.
